Biographies

Rev. Patsy Walker Fine : On July 19, 2009 I was ordained by Rev. Carol E. Parrish as a minister with the Light of Christ Community Church and endorsed by the International Council of Community Churches. My prior academic education includes a Master of Arts degree in sociology from California State University, Hayward and a Master of Arts degree in education from CSU, Sacramento. After a 28-year career in education, I began graduate level spiritual studies at Sancta Sophia Seminary in Tahlequah, OK and training in holistic healing methods including holistic massage, bodywork,and energy work from Sacramento area schools. I hold certificates as a Spiritual Practitioner, Massage Therapist (CMT), Reiki Master Teacher (RMT), and ABMP Certified Somatic Therapist (ACST). I am am also enrolled in the Doctoral program in Spiritual Studies at Sancta Sophia Seminary. Contemplation and prayer are the practices that brings me closest to the Sacred Presence.

Life-long Partner : Bill Fine, husband of 43 years, has always been supportive of my ventures, even through the hardest challenges and foibles. Together, we have learned about unconditional love. Bill feels closest to God's Presence while on horseback out on a trail in nature.

Sheila Berg, Board of Advisers : Friend and Adviser Sheila is our crone (elder wise woman) and brings many lifelong experiences to our group. She is a retired history teacher and leads an active life. She loves yoga and traveling the world. (more bio info to come)

Spiritual Support Partners : Koji and Susan Sonoyama have supported all my spiritual ventures from day one. They have been close friends for over 23 years. Susan and Koji bring virtues of generosity and gratitude to our support group. Koji is a special education teacher with over 40 years in education and also coaches track. He was a soccer coach for many years. Susan has a Master of Science degree in Speech Communication and an undergraduate degree in English with a Theater minor. She is a former Speech and Language Therapist; currently she serves as a Staff Services Manager. Susan has been my theater buddy for more than 20 years.

Spa Day for SheB, PatZ, and MarC : These are the "handles" that evolved out of the WWW support group we developed many years ago. We were drawn together as friends around a theme of spiritual exploration. SheB and MarC have been "giunea pigs" for many of my projects during my studies at SSS.
