About Us
Sophia's Well of Wisdom, located in the beautiful foothill communities of Amador County, California, is an auxiliary spiritual center of the Light of Christ Community Church (LCCC).
Headquartered in Tahlequah, OK, Light of Christ Community Church is an interfaith esoteric Christian church that aspires to an inclusive spiritual philosophy, emphasizes inner psycho-spiritual development and embraces diverse sacred traditions. LCCC is a part of the International Council of Community Churches and serves as a network of individuals prepared to serve as ministers, teachers, and practitioners steeped in Esoteric (inner or mystical) Christianity and transcultural wisdom teachings.
In keeping with the eclectic, universal, and inclusive nature of LCCC, Sophia's Well of Wisdom has an approach that places a strong emphasis on quality of character, personal and global transformation, embodied spirituality, holistic healing, community service, and ethical living. As such, Sophia's Well of Wisdom serves as a center for spiritual wellness with ministries that support body, mind, soul, and spirit.
Rev. Patsy Walker Fine, minister and founding director of SWOW, aims is to serve the local community by providing holistic spiritual care through sacred education and training, holistic healing and contemplative bodywork, pastoral care and mentoring, and celebrant services for those special life events.
The services of Sophia's Well of Wisdom are suited particularly for those who:
1) Are "spiritual but not religious,"
2) Desire a more inclusive, trans-religious, interspiritual or interfaith approach,
3) Are hungry for a more progressive and inclusive religious experience and are ready to break out of the traditional box, and/or
4) Prefer a more transpersonal, metaphysical, or mystical approach to transformation of consciousness.

Rev. Patsy Walker Fine, having been granted a charter for Sophia's Well of Wisdom, serves as the pastor. Fine completed sacred education programs in Foundations of Spirituality and Preparation for Christian Ministry at Sancta Sophia Seminary, the educational arm of Light of Christ Community Church. Fine was certified as a spiritual practitioner in 2008 and in 2009 received a Certificate of Ordination endorsed by Light of Christ Community Church and the International Council of Community Churches. Sophia's Well of Wisdom, as a not-for-profit ministry with tax-exempt status as an auxiliary church chartered by LCCC, which holds 501 (3) (c) status under the group exemption of LCCC. SWOW has also received exemption status from California's Franchise Tax Board.
As such we accept donations to support the work of fostering transformation through sacred education for those seeking a greater understanding of themselves, the world, and God; spiritual and holistic healing practices for those in need, and pastoral care services for those seeking spiritual solutions to life's issues and problems.
